Mohammad Junaid Khan is also known as Junaid Khan is a fast bowler cricketer of Pakistan. Junaid was born on 24th December 1989, in Matra, North-West Frontier Province. His talent came into observation due to his good pace, high stamina and a better ability to hit the ball around in the right condition.

Career Journey

Junaid Khan was considered among the crop of the most talented and promising fast bowlers of that time when he played U-19 cricket in Pakistan, alongside fast bowler Mohammad Amir. During his early career, Khan made his T20s debut for Abbottabad Rhinos against Lahore Eagles that held on Dec 21st, 2006 at Karachi.

As the international career of the player is concerned, Khan finally got the chance to play for the national convention when he called up to Pakistan’s squad in the 2011 World Cup as a replacement player for Sohail Tanvir. In the same year, he made his Test debut against Zimbabwe, but it was the unexciting performance of Khan. However, he maintains his position in his second Test, where he performed well with a five-wicket haul took against Sri Lanka that held in Abu Dhabi on a flat surface pitch.

Khan’s first T20 international match was against West Indies on 21st April 2011 that held at Gros Islet. However, his last Twenty20 international was against our neighboring country India on 21 March 2014 at Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Recently, on 17th May 2019, he played against England from the national side, Pakistan at Nottingham’s ground. It was his last List A debut as well as ODI from the national side.

Now a day, Khan is playing for the Multan Sultans squad in the 2020 season of the Pakistan Premier League. He played well against Islamabad United at Rawalpindi in this tournament that held on March 8, 2020.
